We met in Canada while we were both studying abroad, but only knew each other for a month before he left. Our relationship started only after that, so we have been LD from the start :-/
It's been nearly two years now and it's at least another 1 1/2 to go..

What a coincidence! Well, my SO and I met and have been together for over 3 years now in Singapore.. However, I will be moving to Canada in about a month's time to pursue my studies for 4 years! D: and it is likely that I can only come back here to visit about once a year? Him going there to visit is unlikely. He will also be studying, but in Singapore.. and will be in the Army every time it is his holidays. I am rather confident in our relationship. but I guess you can never be READY to be apart.. especially knowing that it's gonna be for such a long time and we are so used to having each other there.

We went to school together when I lived in the UK, we were acquaintances but nothing more. And then I moved out of the country, and we started talking and then got together after about 8 months of me living hereNo time zone or distance or anything can keep us apart

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site-my BF and I have been CD for 2+ years, we both went to USC here in Los Angeles and were friends through all of college. On Sunday he leaves to go to med school in Guadalajara... The soonest he might be back in the US is for his fourth year, if he can get internships at USC/UCLA/somewhere else in southern california. This is my second LDR, but I've never done international and I'm really nervous!“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” -Winnie the Pooh

my SO and I have been close distance for almost five years (10 km apart) and see each other at least 2 or 3 times a week sometimes more. He's moving to Ireland in six weeks for med school for five years. Im not sure what to expect, but I'm very scared to be honest. Its going to be such a hard change i dont know if we'll be able to pull through.
