What my SO and I have done in the past, if we are flying together, is that if I'm going over to the uk and then we're flying back together, for example. I would book my flight to the uk as a single separately and then the flight from the uk to Sweden we would book for the both of us at the same time. If that makes sense?
This works well and then you know that when you check in, you'll be say together. I'm not sure about your airline, but with mine, it doesn't work out any more expensive - maybe by a few pounds, but not too much to make it completely out of the question
