Hey guys, long time no see!
Unfortunately im not here to say me and my ex have gotten back together. The same issue persists (the distance of course), which makes a relationship untenable for her since she is unable to deal well with me not being physically there (which as crappy as it is that two people who love the heck out of each other cant be together for that sole reason, is understandable as I know, as im sure you all do, how difficult that can be to deal with).
But anyways getting back on point, we have remained very close friends, and we're planning on meeting this August/October with me probably flying over to her (a holiday and seeing my love, whats not to like!). Remembering the research I did back in the day, I also remember how sketchy US customs can be at times. So the deal is; id be flying alone and its quite possible I will not have a job by that time (I currently do work, but my contract is due to expire in July, so unless I can jump right back into a job its likely ill be unemployed by the time).
I know having a job and letters from them saying you have a job to return to would aid my journey through customs etc, would me not working (thus no 'date hes returning to work' letter) be a bit of a hinderance? Would a 1-2 week stay (more likely 1 week) with me being able to provide a return ticket see me through ok? I just dont wanna book tickets and tell her when im coming and everything, only to be turned back simply because customs are way too suspicious over somebody who can barely get out of bed in the morning!
Hope everyone's doing good . Cheers guys.
