Jess, I am glad you are feeling more positive and getting some great ideas and support here I think spending time with your family will be good, after all, odds are you won't be spending next christmas with them right? I can only imagine how excited you must be to move!
In my case I am spending christmas with my husband, but our first christmas (last year) we didn't spent together. If I remember correctly he was in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Afghanistan and the connection was not good enough for video chat so we didn't have the luxury of a cyber-date. We talked on the phone for a bit but the connection was just awful and frustrating. I spent time with my family and made sure to take pictures for him which I sent as soon as I went to bed for him to see whenever possible.
This makes christmas this year super special to me, I know yours will be awesome next year *abrazos*

I won't be seeing mine for Christmas but am lucky enough to be able to see him for New Year's Eve. I don't expect to be able to celebrate every major holiday with him and that saddens me as well but we have to deal. Just realize this is not forever and one day you'll be able to celebrate everyday with your special someone.

I know flight tickets are crazy expensive, but fortunately there will be some deals after the crazy holidays. I hope you manage to see your love sometime in January. Thanks for replying and happy holidays for you.
I only just read this.
My SO has promised to come in Jan for a long weekend, he will be booking his flights in a week from now.
We will have a super short countdown!
I hope all of us have a lovely time during these holidays with whomever we are celebrating.
Take care!

It was our second Christmas far from each other...We said it was our last...Did we break up ? did we close the distance ? did we manage to be together ? I don't know. I feel little sad at this period of year.
Wish you all the best for this new year.

Wish you all the best for this new year.I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain
