Hi guys!
So this is my first post, after spending the day at work worrying myself into oblivion I decided to seek out the help of people in a similar position to myself (hopefully!).
I have been with my SO for nearly a year now. He lives in CA and I live in London, UK. Since January I have been going once a month, for around a week at a time to see him in CA.
Recently, we have had a bit of a bad time, he tried to come back to the UK with me but was denied entry because they thought he was going to overstay the visitor visa and wasn’t a genuine tourist. It was an absolutely horrific ordeal where I spent 13 hours in Gatwick airport just sobbing by myself- ANYWAY.
That was around a month ago, and we’ve healed a little from the experience and as a couple we have never been stronger- however, since that incident I’ve bougnt myself a ticket back to CA for this Friday. Now, I’ve never had any issues entering the US before but now my SO has been denied entry I’m panicking a little to say the least.
I’ve printed out bank statements, work payslips, I’ve got 3 letters- one from my director at work stating I’m full time employed with salary details, one from one of my team members (I’m his manager) and one from my mum who I currently live with. I’ve also got copies of all my return flight details and rail return details.
My question is am I being irrational? Is there anything else I should/could bring should border control have any questions?
I’m not sure my heart could take another denied entry!
Please let me know your thoughts!
