Having met my now husband through a pen pal site I really know the effort it takes to send handwritten letters, We wrote for nearly two years! I sometimes use to send six letters per week and it did become somewhat tiring after a while. My hand would just ache all the time. So in the end I used to send him typed letters via a pen pal site that prints them up, plus they didn't take as long to get to him because they were posted in the U.S....Now I am glad I don't have to write although if I had to choose it would have to be handwritten for me. To me typing a letter up on a computer just isn't personal enough. Part of writing a letter is the effort you put in to it and the person on the receiving end can see that.
