I like this idea! I actually took something similar from it, instead of gifts, I took every letter of his first and last name and wrote a reason next to that letter why I loved him and about our love. For example, his name is Fernando so I took the F and I put F is for feelings and I wrote about the feelings I had for him and how they developed and so on. He really loved opening his email and seeing it :P
