Where would you like to be married? :)

I want to get married on the beach. I just absolutely love the beach. The only draw back is the sand. I would be able to wear a long elaborate dress. So I don't think that will end up being where I get married. But I can't really think of anywhere else other than a traditional church. But I technically don't have a religion and I haven't been in a church since I was really little. My SO is catholic but he doesn't ever go to church either. Maybe we will get married in a hotel on the beach.

My girlfriend wants the same, which id be more than happy with. Would definitely have to be over in America, unless she wants to get married on a beach here accompanied by seemingly mandatory rain

I would like to elope with my SO (his parents are set on a nice little Catholic church wedding but alas, I'm not religious nor do I want (to pay for ) a huge wedding with people I hardly know) and get married on a nice little.. place somewhere haha. My parents eloped and got married in Martha's Vineyard overlooking the Gay Head Cliffs and the pictures are so gorgeous. We just need to search for a place. I used to want to get married in a castle.

I've always dreamt of a military wedding. Men would be in their dress uniforms than tuxedos. I would like an outdoor wedding or a beach wedding. Haven't really though much of the details yet, but at least I've got some locations in mind. Haha

It's hard because I want to get married where he is AND where I live. I live in Ohio and he's from Florida and there is NO way that I could 'ship' all of my family down here for a wedding. I'm just hoping that I'll have enough money to get married in both places xP

A church was a big NO! for me and my SO, but as I had my heart set on having our wedding in my home county in England; it's a lot easier to have a non-religious wedding outside a courthouse there! We did our legal ceremony in the court house in Chicago, but we're having out wedding here:



It's The Hospitium in the grounds of one of England's oldest Monasteries, so we get some pretty spectacular pictures and it's just the right size- will fit 50-60 people at most, which was the size of wedding I wanted. I always wanted to get married in a castle or historical building, and this is just perfect for us, I cannot wait!

we actually started talking about this lately..like location...here or there...and not really wanting a church...but an outdoor venue would be really nice...and are actually planning to look at a place here while she is visiting..not sure if we wanna do formal...or maybe more casual yet...as we are in the begining stages of wedding talk...

I was watching Say Yes to the Dress last night (Friday bride day is my favorite xD) and there was a couple that got married on a glassed-in rooftop over a huge city late at night! I thought it was the greatest idea ever!

My SO and I have always said we are going to get married in the church he grew up in. We're religious and it was the location of our second date. Oh and it's beautiful!

I've never been one that was after a formal wedding. Big dress, cars, reception venue etc. When my now hubby proposed to me we literally had two weeks to organise something, because my visa was running out & I needed to return home! We finally agreed on where, which was a park near his father's home, his family were there but none of mine because they were back in the U.K and it was too short notice for them. It was a very informal affair, I wore a vera wang dress that I got reduced from $150 to $17...what a bargain Lol...We booked a jacuzzi suite at a nearby hotel and it was just wonderful. Very simple but what we both wanted.

We're planning on getting married in my home state, but there's no specific place yet. I really would love to get married in the church on my college campus, since it's because of my college that we met (I studied abroad through their program...so many things that could have happened to make us not meet!). For years, I've dreamed of a formal wedding reception, with the cake, catered dinner, reception, etc. But honestly, I think it would be so much fun if we rented out a pub for our reception and just had an open bar. The only problem is kids, since they wouldn't be able to drink, and we're definitely planning on having kids at our wedding (his son, my siblings, for one). We haven't really started discussing it seriously yet, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm at the point where it could be in an alley, just as long as we're married. It all depends greatly on finances, too, since we're both strapped for cash and we haven't even started saving for moving fees yet.

We like the idea of getting married in a church! I'd rather be in France than the UK, and I think my SO would too. We'll see though... at the moment it's still a bit too early to tell

We got married in a little wedding chapel (secular, non-denominational ceremony) in a little town not far from where we live which is a tourist attraction because of being really scenic and having a lot of cute shops and restaurants. It was inexpensive and simple, but still provided a nice ceremony with some beautiful scenery. We only had 8 guests at our wedding, but the chapel had enough space to seat I think 30 guests. It was really nice and we were very pleased with it.
