If/when Jay and I get married, it'll be in California. I guess I'm lucky that he and his close family live in northcal and my entire family in socal. So id leave NY (or where ever i end up) and get married in Los Angeles most likely.

Marrying my SO in his country would make more sense both practically and sentimentally speaking. My SO has lots of relatives and friends whereas I have just my parents, brother and a handful of extended family members who could all travel; he's understandably attached to the village where he grew up but I've lived in so many places I have no real sense of "home". Anyway, we could always hold a second reception in the UK as well

If we do decide to get married, I would like to do it in the States even though we're living here. I feel like since I see his family all the time, I want to have that special moment with mine. We won't have a big wedding so not like there would be super amounts of planning needing to be done. I really don't know how realistic it is, but I'm going to hold out hope if and until we ever do tie the knot.

        Met online: 1/30/11
        Met in person: 5/30/12
        Second visit: 9/12/12
        Closed the distance: 1/26/13!!!

We both live in the USA, he's in CA, I'm in PA, but I mentioned to him I want to have a destination wedding abroad in a castle, & he thought it was an awesome idea. I either want to get married in Italy, Ireland, or Europe! So we are kind of different, if I end up marrying him, which I pray I do, we're having a destination wedding!
