How old are/ were you when you married?

I'm 19 and engaged but won't be getting married until I'm 20. We won't be having a "real" wedding for a while. Kids will not be coming for a long while! Being a nanny has made me realize how much I want to do before having children! But I do want a big family. =]

I am 35 and he is 43. We got married Feb 28th of this year, after dating for a year. It might seem too soon for some but we knew since day one. We have both been married and divorced. I have children and he does too, now that we are married.

we got engaged 3 weeks ago and due to both of us possibly deploying in the next year we are considering getting married the last time we see eachother in July! I would be just shy of my 24th bday and he's 25! courthouse wedding then then a ceremony when we get back!

Unoffically engaged at 17, he's 21 marriage is a longggg way off for us, at the very least I'll be around 20. But we know we want to be together so this engagement is just gonna hafta last awhile, least I'll have a long time to plan the wedding :P

With my ex, I got engaged at 18, and he broke it off 2 months shy of our wedding.

Now, I'm 21, and my S.O. is 30, and the subject of marriage has come up, but with the distance, it has to wait until I finish my degree in another year and a half.

I personally don't think theres such a thing as getting married to early if both people are committed and mature. my great and and uncle were married at 16 and have been together ever since (until she passed away last year or so)
and my cousins parents were married at 21 and 19 and are still happily married after probably 40 years ish of marriage.

I got engaged this past memorial day, and we will be legally married when I am 22 and he is 25- Hopefully March/April time 2012, visa willing!

I got married at 22 to my ex and was with him for a total of 13 years...married for 8 of them. We married to young I think, but we are still great friends and have 2 great kids together.

I'd like to get married eventually. Definitely after I finish college, and get to spend time in a CDR with my SO.

Also, my mom was 17 when she married my dad, who was 21. They're still together almost 22 years later And my grandparents.. haha they were ENGAGED 3 months after they started dating, and I think they said they got married just a few months after that... been married for 50 years now!!!

More proof that being married young and really early can last!!! i've had people tell me im rushing into things basically and i should wait but thats more proof that it can work and be married forever
