I think it's AMAZING that people can get married soo soon, and still be married years and years later. I believe it's just a matter of doing it when you're ready. You can't set an age or a date on when you want to marry, because if you meet the right person, it may happen sooner than you plan! So I just kind of go with the flow. haha
But that's what I believe and I won't begrudge people who are of other opinions. I only expect myself to act in the way that I believe. We're each our own person and we'll know what's right for ourselves.

And then you've had that time to get to know each other very well and deal with each others ups and downs. You know how to fight with each other, and how to resolve it. I wouldn't personally want to jump into something right away, especially as I believe that all relationships have a "honeymoon period" where of course everything is lovey-dovey and wonderful--you need to get past that to know if you'll truly last.

I think that each and own couple needs to know when they're ready for marriage, then I don't think that it matters if you're 20, 30 or 60 when you marry. When you really love each other and are ready for it, then nothing should stop them. Personally, I'd probably marry in my twenties sometime, though if my bf would propose now I'd say yes, but stay engaged until we'd be older. Don't know why I believe that, just don't want to get married all too early. But each and everyone knows themselves when they want to and are ready to"If it takes...forever....I will wait for you...For a thousand summers...I will wait for you...'Till you're back back beside me...'till i'm holding you...'till I hear you sigh, here in my arms..."

Wow lots of young engagements. I definitely was too immature to be committed at that age to anyone As for me, I want to be engaged around 25-27. My boyfriend says whenever he can afford a ring we can get engaged (he will be in medical school for the next five years). So looks like age 27 might be it! Married by 28, pregnant by 29.First date: 12.27.09
Started the distance: 6.10.10
Finished the distance: 8.17.12

I'll be "officially" engaged from November (buying the ring, telling the parents, once again visit me... etc), at that time I'll be 21.
But, we decided to become engaged last month. I'm now still 20 years old and he's 30.
We're not sure when we'll get married.
We talked about November next year (when I'm 22), but it depends on ... yeah how we feel around that time.

My bf and me thought about marrying at around 20 a couple of months ago because it would make a lot of things easier for us, but we thought about it without thinking about everything.. we were both 18 then:P but then after a couple of weeks, like we were both thinking about it and realised that we're both still too young and not ready for that kind of commitment yet, but I think we'll marry towards the end of uni, so maybe in 4 years But I'd get engaged at any time if my bf would ask me"If it takes...forever....I will wait for you...For a thousand summers...I will wait for you...'Till you're back back beside me...'till i'm holding you...'till I hear you sigh, here in my arms..."

Yeah I would want to get engaged at any time because it's a greater sign of commitment. But I'm afraid that engagement would also have a lot of pressure from everyone else to get married. "You're engaged? When's the wedding?" "Have you got your dress?" "When is the date set?" "How many bridesmaids are you having?" Blah blah blah. I don't want that kind of nagging/ stress for years leading up until we're ready to get married.First date: 12.27.09
