I'm loving all the bands shown here

Here in Lebanon (and also in Greece), traditionally, there is no engagement ring. The couple chooses their wedding bands and wear them on their right hand during the engagement period, and then on their left hand when they are married.

    Here is my engagement/wedding ring

we had been looking online for a while to get ideas on bands, and i really wanted a spinner ring, but they aren't common here. i had one with onyx and wore it for years until it broke...

the first jeweler we went to had these, and it was exactly what we wanted. in and out in less than 20 minutes.

yes, i am wearing it on the left hand, no we are not married yet

when we chose our bands, we sized them up for our left hands. my SO usually doesn't wear his, but wanted to when he came this summer; but with his fingers swollen from the heat it just couldn't fit on his right hand, so we both started putting them on the left hand.

we have a perfect excuse for it though in Greece they also wear the wedding rings during the engagement period, but on the opposite hands. so we're following the greek tradition from the greek side of the family LOL

    i love our rings

Oh my goodness, this seems SO perfect! I literally just posted on the engagement ring thread about my ring, and how I wear silver /white gold but my engagement ring is gold because of the diamond.

And my SO has a sterling silver necklace I bought him and looks better in silver/white gold (not that he wears much jewellary) so we were debating options. We decided some sort of design that had both colours in it, but I have been very wary as a lot of designs with more than one colour can be tacky.

But this is genius, and having a part of your SO's ring with you at all times, like carrying a piece of their heart? Love it! Thank you SO much for the inspiration!

        You're welcome.
The idea is just brilliant and maybe with a diamond in the middle of the different coloured piece they'd look even better.
I've just showed the rings to my boyfriend and he didn't like them at all but he really loved the ones with the heart

So, we've been having a lot of luck lately! We won a set of wedding bands from a draw at a bridal show I didn't know we even entered. So we know what bands we are getting Woo!

This one is mine. I emailed them and asked if they can make it in 2mm instead of 4mm and they can for a very small fee. Yay! i want a plain one only because 1. it needs to be thin to fit my stupidly tiny hands and 2. because the contemporary styles these people make their bands in wont go with my older-style engagement ring. (And I'm so not wearing them on seperate fingers!)

          And this one is Obi's:

He doesn't want something too plain.

I never thought of steel bands for us, but, they are low maintenance, and I'm all for that! They also have a nice replacement warrenty.
If you're thinking of going steel too though, be warned that because it is the strongest jewelry metal is can not be resized.

            Gorgeous rings, Zephi! Congrats!

By the way, Obi's ring looks very much like my SO's wedding ring, too.

We FINALLY, after nearly nine months of marriage, found my wedding band It was one of my birthday presents:

It's white gold, and 1/5 carat total weight.

For comparison, my engagement ring, and another view.

P.S. @ MILAYA: Your ring is GORGEOUS!!
