I already told you I loooove your shoes. I'd go with closed ones in the winter, but they're so cute it's ok to make an exception for them.

Xanahtas, Irregular Choice has some awesome shoes. Not for a wedding but those must be the cutest shoes I've ever seen. Oh well, once we close the distance and I'll have more disposable income... *sigh*

I want to get boots. Ideally, I'd get a short-ish dress and boots. I know white boots are tacky and look terribly cheap most of the time, but I'd like to get something like that

those are cute! I haven't picked out a dress so I don't know what kind of shoes I will wear. I plan on dancing so they need to be flats!

Elina - I think shorter wedding dresses have been done often enough that they are totally fine tradition-wise now

I've been practicing dancing in my shoes in the hopes that I wont fall on my face (or get huge blisters) on the day.

Good idea about the dancing! lol

as this time round there wont be a dance as it will be only in the courthouse, i wont need to do it, but great for the religious wedding with the party! haha

I know we've come to blows in the past, but I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying following your wedding planning posts. I'm excited for you and wish you and the future husband all the best!

Thank you! I think you are a smart smart girl, maybe too smart that sometimes you are hard on other people for not being as smart or thinking things through as much as you do.
But I do like your opinions, Ive given you a couple of reputation points for them already! haha.

          and thanks again! <3

I like those, but for wedding I guess I would go with the same style but a little shorter. because in my mind they remind me a lot about a brazilian show I used to watch when I was a kid, and all the dancers wore ones like that, so all my brazilian friends would say I look like a paquita (name of those dancers!)! haha

At least in Germany you didnt have paquitas so your guests wouldnt call you that.

thanks for the converse love guys They'll make good honeymoon shoes too I do have some bridal ballet flats too, but I'm not wearing those at the wedding- I'm wearing them to our legal ceremony in Chicago, and I anticipate they will get destroyed with all the grit and slush they will have that time of year =/ Funny thing is, my dress is proper traditional and lacy, I think it will make some amusing photos when I show my converse underneath!

@ Elina: I have on good authority that over the past year, short 50's prom dresses are becoming waaaay more popular on the bridal fashion scene, so you'll be golden I think!

@ Engel: just got your pm, I'll message you back in a second with info

I wanted to go for irregular choice because if i get these, i can wear them again afterwards - and they match well with my colour scheme and my dress is long anyways so they wont be seen much. Because of the colour of my dress (Blush gold) id have to get shoes dyed and i dont have the money for that.

Well, since I got married the traditional Japanese way... the shoes were pretty much decided. Especially since the whole package was a rental.
Japanese bridal shoes looks kinda like these ones

Then there's a few variations. Like the strap color, the height of the shoe. Not much else...

Haha I have the same problem... well I married a Japanese, so it was expected. I'm just happy about the fact that he is 2-3 cm taller than me XD.
BTW I love those shoes! Very original.
