Translator!

My SO likes to send me messages sometimes in a dif language something like I miss you or I'm thinking about you- just cute little comments. I thought it would be fun to do it also, problem is I Ony speak English and a few random Chinese and Spanish words but beyond that I've got nothing. I discovered a translator app for my iPhone (or you could just use google). You can choose from just about any language and type or say it. I like to send sweet stuff but also funny things to! And it's fun to get one from him and not know why it means and look it up and go awww! haha the only thing that makes it less fun is that he actually knows abunch of dif languages so he doesn't have to look up what they mean.
Have any of you ever done something like this?

Yes I write my SO some senteces in German and sometimes he use the google translator to do the same and it's sooo funny

Now I think about it, I can't remember ever having done that. My SO speaks French, English and Spanish. He's also learning German, and has notions of Italian and Catalan. Comparatively, I just speak English and am (very slowly) learning French. My SO says all sorts of things in the various languages he knows, and I can't understand much without looking it up... so I pretty much stick with my mother tongue

Yes, my SO does that. I barely speak English (see my previous posts :P) but he speaks quite a few languages and likes to throw me random messages in different languages but sometimes he gets cocky and uses an online translater and translates something like I love you endlessly from English to Italian to Russian and so on as it gets messy and i can't figure out what he said XD

A super long time ago, just for fun, we wrote a bunch of symbols that stood for letters and had each other decipher what it meant. And we gave a hint or two obviously cause they were our own made up symbols.

Lol my SO the first time my SO told me he loved me, it was in German because he was too nervous to say it in English. It was adorable! I had to google-translate it of course, but when I did I was like "awwwwh!"

Haha yeah I said something like I'm in love with you in Italian and he said "you are my heart forever" in Spanish my heart melted after I translated it! Haha

We always speak English, especially because she really likes the language but she sometimes says things to me in Estonian (and I love it). I sometimes say nice things to her in Spanish

My SO knows Spanish, English, French and German. Being Spanish our first language and watching many Italian movies makes us have a notion of it so it does not work either. I know Spanish, English and French and very, very few Romanian...which he can't understand! So I've totally done it! He likes it a lot.

There's something geekier that he did in response to this. He used msn's handwritting tool and wrote something in ancient runes. I had to make a research to translate it. Man... that was geeky but totally worth it!
