I'm actually not on a plan which is my first problem. Secondly, plans like that are 99% of the time only for mobiles within the same country and not for international texting unfortunately.

You and I have this same issue. My SO is all over ports in Europe and he has a phone from here on the Island that doesn't charge roaming fee for SMS but the instant I send him an MMS, it cost me money and then he gets charged roaming. So no pics and no direct phone calls to that phone for me as roaming charges from here in Jamaica to Europe is not pretty.

How about emailing through your phone?

My SO and I have BlackBerrys and send each other pictures through emailing on our phones all the time. It is amazing (and free :P )

Oh man, I'd love to do this! I sent my SO pictures every now and then that I think are funny or something, but maybe we should turn it into a game or something...

Yes! I love doing that. We use whatsapp so I send him a few pictures every week. The only issue is when I'm at places with no good reception and I desperately wanna share the picture

At the start of 2011 I told my SO that I wanted to try sending him a picture of something I was doing that day everyday. He said he was interested in it. I never did it. I managed to complete a 31 day photo challenge. Maybe this is something I can try again. Taking pictures for the purpose of sharing with someone who isn't there does sound like fun.

I try to send my SO a pic everyday, we have whatsapp so I normally send one through that

I take photo's of anything I think she would find interesting, until recently I had no way to send them to her, but now I can post them on facebook, in a album only she can see :P

I like this idea a lot! My SO does that with her cooking/baking, because it's what she loves and likes to share it with me. But I think I may bring up the idea of something random you are doing at some moment during the day. I think that would me if feel part of each other's day!

We do that all the time. We probably send more pictures than texts. When we are out with friends or family we always send a couple pictures... it's a faster easier way to say we are thinking of the other and wish they were here than typing it out! Sometimes he even sends me videos when he's out... I went to a hockey game a couple nights ago and spammed him with pictures and videos. He said he loved it because it was like he was there too.

we do it, he lives in Oregon so i send him pictures of the crazy amount of snow we have because he doesnt have any.
