Bras and Boxers...

So, my partner is obsessed with the idea of getting me in a pokebra. He sent me a tutorial on YouTube. At some point during the video, the host and her boyfriend mention that your boyfriend can help with it too! So I told that to my partner and said, "...or he can do the work for putting the woman in a ridiculous bra!" And my partner shot back with, "Hey! I'd make you one if you'd wear it!"

So we're also doing the idea that Zephii mentioned, the idea jar. :P Guess what he says today? "Guess what? It's Sunday (Sunday is our day for listing ideas)! Making a pokebra! " to which I said, "well guess what's going in mine? My Little Pony boxers!" So yes, now on our summer itinerary is to be making a pokebra (instructions listed below) and My Little Pony boxers (no clue how I'm going to pull that off, but I want them to have a mane and tail...).

It's a silly idea, but there's something amusing about the idea of getting to design your partner's bra/underwear. I would guess that all you'd really need is a white bra/underwear (in the right size, of course), some fabric paint, and an imagination to get started!

My boyfriend was older than the target demographic for Pokemon when it first came out (I was 6, he was 12), so, the appeal would be lost to him, but I think this is so awesome. I also am lollerskating at the idea of your boyfriend casually picking up a bra in your size at some department store

@efish - Hahaha. The YouTube tutorial had a play on Bulbasaur. When asked what kind of pokemon would come out of the bra, she suggested "Boobasaur."

@CQ - The appeal is likely lost on me too, given that I never really got into it when I was younger, even when the fad hit everyone. But I suppose anyone could substitue for whatever appealed to the inner nerd! He says we'd go shopping for the bra together, though, so he can be sure it fits properly. I'm not sure he knows how serious I am about the fact that if he's making me wear this ridiculous thing, I'm making him wear a ridiculous equivalent. xD

@Eclaire - You may have already thought of this, but you should totally cut strips of fabric or cut bits off a colorful wig! To make the mane+tail of the pony!! It would bring the ridiculousness up to a new level x)

I have a really good idea for my SO's birthday now. He likes pokemon, but he really likes xbox. So I think I can work that into the underwear thing, haha.

I think this is both a funny, and awesome idea. I was a big fan of pokemon when I was kid. My SO is more of a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, but he has played Pokemon before. I may suggest this idea to him!

@iaki - I had thought to use yarn, but using fabric strips isn't a bad idea either, and cheaper too!
