I'm actually starting to get interested in it but I can't afford the subscription or the actual game... Yes, I know there is a trial but the problem is that once the trial is over and IF i get really addicted I will be all like "FUUUUUUU-" D:

Well for black Friday they had a sale where you could get the actual game and the first two expansions for $20. The sale is now over, but if you phone them, and have a credit card you can use, you might be able to convince them to give you the game for the lower price. Usually I'd think that was crazy, but that's exactly what Obi did and they let him have it because the end date of the sale wasn't properly displayed on the website. You'll have to decide quick tho.Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

I have a question and I hope it's ok I use this thread
I've only played Guild Wars because that's the game my ex use to play, I liked that game very much but stopped because it was his account I was playing on.
How are the two games (WOW and Guild Wars) compared to each other? are they similar?Join the Photography Group Today!

I've never actually played GW, but apparently it is the best non-subscription based mmo there is.
Uhm, the graphics in WoW are more cartoony... and less anime.. if that makes sense. Blizz make no effort to make WoW at all realistic looking.
The biggest difference I know of is that in GW there's a stat penalty when you die, but in WoW there is only a penalty if you decide not to run back to your dead body.
Both games have good PVP systems and instancing as a big part of game play.
And that's all I can come up withHappily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

That's hardly fair >.>
I had this problem with Obi too (though with him it was anything BUT WoW) but nagging wore him down. I recommend nagging. jks.
