I just got back from the UK on 28 November from visiting my SO. I'm from Texas. All I took with me were my passport and my flight itinerary. I was there for a little over a week. When I landed, they asked for my passport and that was it. They asked me why I was there, how long I was going to be there, and how much money I had brought with me. It was fast and easy. You should have no problems. Also, I said I was going to visit friends and they had no additional questions for me after that.
