I'm going to visit my boyfriend in 29 days!!! I'm flying up to see him this time as opposed to driving 7 hours. (I'm leasing a car and it's a total of 720 miles, so I can't afford to go over my mileage on my lease) Anyway, the flight will only be for 45 minutes total in the air. =] Before my boyfriend left for school, I kinda let myself go a little bit. I began not caring what I wore around him, so sweats and tshirts became staple items and I didn't really care that I looked tired and whatnot. I was going through a rough time then too, adjusting to the fact that he was leaving so soon. I think my depression began to come back and I really felt it. I was upset all the time around him, I even had trouble eating. Over the course of a week or so, I lost 5 pounds, and I don't even weigh 100 pounds to begin with, so it was BAD. I felt awful because I couldn't bring myself to look nicer for him and I felt like I was always bringing his mood down, though he was always picking me up and telling me I still looked beautiful. Well, I decided when he left that when I go to visit, I want to make up for that. I want to look so good, I want to knock his fucking socks off as I walk off the plane, through the terminal and into his arms. I'd like to make his jaw drop, and make him smile as big as he possibly can. I'm starting the transformation tomorrow, when I go for a body wave for my hair. I had one back in high school and I loved the way it looked! Anthony did, too...I asked him how he'd feel if I got it done again and he was all for it! So, I have that. I can also put on a little more makeup than I normally do, which is almost none lol. I'm going to try and put on a few more pounds before then, though I've always had trouble gaining weight. We'll see if that happens. What should I wear? I'm going to be flying into Rochester, NY...that time of year, it's typically an average high temp of 63 Fahrenheit and a low of about 44 Fahrenheit. It's also typically cloudy or raining around that time of year. Typically I'm a girl who dresses comfortably, wearing jeans and a comfortable shirt and sneakers or Ugg slippers in that time of year. Usually my shirts are nerdy, but I do have some nicer shirts. I don't want to wear like a dress or a skirt on the plane, because that's not who I am at all. What would you guys suggest? I have this vision of me walking off the plane in slow motion, fans blowing my hair everywhere with "She's a Lady" playing in the background lol. I just want to give my SO a treat when I get off that plane. I'm not looking for anything sexy, because that's not who I am either, I just want something cute and that will make me look beautiful and feel confident when I see him.

Hey Girlie! I'm excited for you about your trip!!!! The one thing that I do on any flight... I show up to the airport with no make up and then when I board the plane I hog the extremely small bathroom and put on my make up while 32,000 miles above the ground! finding the perfect clothes that won't look like you spent a lot to look fab in-- and also that if they got wrinkled on the plane, wouldn't just wreck everything you have envision.... I usually shop at maurices.com --- they have good looking clothes that don't cost an arm and leg... and are easy to pull out of your carry on to change into if need be... good luck hun! got my fingers crossed!!!!

I tend to dress comfortably due to my flights being 8+ hours. I'm a jeans and t-shirt and/or hoodie girl myself, so I'll often dress up in one of my nicer pairs of jeans, maybe put on a cute belt to accent, and then I'll wear one of my cuter and less comfortable (read as: ratty lounge-wear) t-shirts, something that hugs my body in all the right places, tehe. I also tend to do all the hygienic duties I wouldn't normally, such as flossing, before departure. Sometimes I'll keep a hairbrush with me so I can re-brush my hair once I land and am off the plane, just to get out any knots or tangles that may have formed, or I may twist it into a ponytail or bun. Little things like that, so that I'm still comfy, but cute at the same time. :P{ Our Story on LFAD }

Last time I flew from NY to UT a kid sitting behind me puked and I was so afraid to smell bad that I used a lot of my favourite perfums. My SO noticed that, and I had to tell the story about the sick kid! So... wear some perfume, but just a bit ;-)

Thanks, ladies! =] I'm only going to be in the air for 45 minutes, which is nothing. I also decided to look up a map of the airport I'm flying into and the map shows that my SO will only be able to pick me up at baggage claim or curbside, so I can probably run to the bathroom really quickly to touch up my makeup and fix my hair before I go to baggage claim to see him and find my bag! I found a really pretty top online and I bought it! It's a tunic and I could wear it with either black leggings or jeans. I'm going to see what I want to do that day, but I will keep you posted! I'm feeling a lot more beautiful these days and I'm going to look so good when I see him...I can just feel it. 18 days to go! =]
