I am relieved, very much! :-) We didn't expect the embassy to give notice so soon, apparently they do it for approvals. According to SO, the embassy wanted to know if we had met each other's parents, and luckily I met his mom early in our relationship. Good luck on the upcoming interview! :-)I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain

A small update:
SO got his passport in the mail today, with his beautiful, new visa in it
To the big SURPRISE of both of us, the embassy granted us 3 more weeks in addition to the time we asked for. So he has been granted 7, almost 8 weeks instead of 4 weeks. Is this normal for visas? Or are they so happy we did not ask for 3 months that they just threw in a few extra weeks for fun?I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. I called the Foreign Department Office today, and the lady there actually didn't know why we got extra time and if we could use it, so she had to check with her boss before calling me back. Apparently they made a mistake, as the embassies are supposedto never give people more time then they ask for - anyway she said we get to keep the extra time without any problems for SO when he comes. I have never heard of anyone having mistakes made in their favour by the FDO, and apparently neither had she! But hey, with our plans of getting an appartment dragging out, it really couldn't be more perfect timing to their "mistake"Originally posted by differentcountries View Posthe has been granted 7, almost 8 weeks instead of 4 weeks.
