Alright, gentlemen (and ladies are welcome too)! Help me out! I am trying to figure out what I can get my SO for Valentine's Day that is more masculine.
Last year, I had him get in his car and drive to a shopping center. He had no idea where he was going and I had him walk into a flower shop to get a bouquet of flowers (with more masculine colors) that I had bought and ordered. He was absolutely flattered.
I had HIM go on the adventure because they can't deliver things like that to the dorms where he lives during school. The whole security issue in case the clear liquid in the vase is actually vodka that college students are smuggling in, cleverly disguised as a beautiful flower arrangement or self-destructing flowers.
HOWEVER, when he got home to get on skype to show me his flower arrangement...it was NOT what I ordered AT ALL. It a small vase with 5 flowers in it....I ordered a $40 arrangement and the place says it was teleflora. So...wtf?
He went back and discussed with the people that he got the wrong thing. He had all the receipts he needed. The people in the front apologized and the head florist came out with something else, claiming he would "add more flowers" due to the issue. Fair enough, right?
My SO sent me a picture of the "NEW" arrangement via iPhone and it still wasn't even remotely close to what I ordered and not nearly worth $40. The florist finally admitted that he didn't have the stuff to make the bouquet I ordered after jerking us around for almost 2 hours, but we should be appreciative he gave us anything at all since we only came back to complain about "his artwork" and that my SO needs to put a leash on me to control me... WHAT?!
I wasn't even there! My boyfriend is NOT easily angered and he flat-out tore this guy up verbally. My SO even had the florist receptionist on his side. He stormed out, but with my full refund.
So, summing it all up, I will never do flowers again. He doesn't really like chocolate. I'm stumped!! He is into cars and speakers/audio things. However, I can't possibly think of anything to get him related to those without spending a lot of money :\
So, gentlemen, what was one of your favorite Valentine's Day gift? What do you like and what would you love to get?
Ladies, what would you suggest? What gift have you sent your SO that he really appreciated and enjoyed?
