"Alcohol-induced liver disease A history of excess alcohol is relevant in regard to potential or actual significant damage to cardiovascular and neurological tissue, or to the risk that patients might revert to alcohol abuse or might not comply with medication or follow up schedules and thus damage the new liver. A multi-disciplinary approach is required to select patients who are likely to comply with follow-up and not return to a damaging pattern of alcohol consumption after transplantation and may include psychological/psychiatric assessment. Appropriate follow-up strategies may be needed." Yup the UK doesn't give out livers without appropriate check ups. And, if i remember correctly from a thread of yours, this boy told you he risked having a leg amputated as a result of some injury. Either he is incredibly unlucky, or he has watched too many episodes of "House", or he is a big fat liar.

LOL, me too And they gets livers in like a minute! Maybe this guy went to Seattle Grace?

OK, topic - OP, you have the internet, go do some serious research on this. Yes, the truth hurts sometimes, but trust me, it's gonna hurt a lot less now than it will later. Aren't you the least bit concerned about WHY so many people are telling you the same thing? Yes, we DO SO understand, your relationship isn't special or unique, although everyone likes to believe that. Look it up yourself, please.

Gonna go ahead and agree with everyone else. He is playing you for his own amusement. The fact that he got a liver transplant like that, his friend conveniently took his phone then moved back to Kenya, and I'm sure many other things you didn't mention here. Just get out of this now, there are too many red flags.

            I am beautiful with you
Even in the darkest part of me
            I am beautiful with you
Make it feel the way it's supposed to be
            You're here with me
Just show me this and I'll believe

My fathers situation had me baffled as all heck but it's just better to get away from it. Don't look back. :/
I hate the way everyone thinks I am making this up. I would never do such a thing and am telling the truth.

I am going to solve this problem myself and am keeping in mind everything said. Yes there are a lot of red flags, however there is also some good things that make me know he may be telling the truth. I am not taking sides fully but of course I will be trying to protect my relationship. I will do more research on this and have my friends to help me out with my situation. If he is lying then I will get away but I need to find out fully.

I once saw someone fool a whole forum with his "death" by building up an ongoing network of personas and by logically playing out heart problems. He did it much more believably than your SO and the only reason he was caught is because I noticed a similarity of typing styles between two of his personas and an incongruity in his story line between those two personas. He fumbled around when I called him out on it, so I contacted a moderator. Sure enough, he was those two persons, but he was also several other personas on the site, including one who had died and devestated the entire forum, including his boyfriend of several months. So please, do be careful.

Actually from what I understand people who need liver transplants don't get them unless no other non drinker is waiting for one, which is close to never, they see it as oh you did this to yourself we're going to give the liver to someone who actually had an illness in which the liver got destroyed. So unless a family member donated half their liver it would be impossible to get a transplant, let alone getting one so quickly, people are on those lists for years before they get one, if ever. Also I was reading through your other topics, there was one about him also needing to get his leg amputated and in a matter of weeks his liver shuts down? Red flags all over the place here.

This!!!! Hello!? Liver transplant, leg amputation, coma, friends on personal accounts and then moving away. All these insanely dramatic things taking place seems normal to you and you believe them all? Youre being lied to, get out now.

I agree with what has already been said. And seriously, yeah, maybe the guy charmed you a bit, but the fact that he faked his own death is more than just a red flag, that's completely messed up and twisted. Just because you think he still has good qualities doesn't mean that you can ignore that. Faking his own death kind of trumps any positives he could have, and you're being naive if you think that this relationship can ever be healthy and flourishing. Here's the thing, whether or not it was a hoax or his friend, it's ridiculously dodgy, and you don't need to find out the truth of it. Walk away, it's foolish not to.

I'm from the UK, I have liver problems, I don't drink and I can tell you now there is absolutely no way in hell he got a transplant that fast. It does not happen. I'm sorry to say it but you're being played for a fool and you need to get out.

Okay well it doesn't matter anymore, He broke up with me. Then blocked me on fb....whatever. At least I can really move on now and not have to worry if he did fake his death because he's gone now. At least I know he is alive and that's good, even if he is a total bastard. :/

I'm sorry that this guy played around with your emotions. he's a real jerk. thankfully you didn't have too much invested with him. LDRs can work- just not one with this guy. in time, with reflection, you will see yourself as very lucky to come out of this relatively unscathed. plus, you now can pick up when someone is BS'ing you. you will be able to pick up on the red flags sooner.

I am sorry to hear that, but I'm happy that you're away from him. After some time you'll realize just what a bad situation this had the potential to be. Good luck.
