Plans for Valentine's day?

Just a Skype date. My SO and I are not firm believers of V-Day.

I see your point... I like the V-day feeling but there are plenty of things about it that I do not like...for example the hearts being everywhere, everything being red and pink, chocolates covering the wall of every shop and being one of the top 5 dates the market uses to make people spend their money. I think if my SO and I were CD, I would be the kind of girl who perhaps just dates... and if there is no exam involved the day after. I'm not into buying expensive presents for these occasions :P

We were lucky enough to be able to drive and meet halfway this past weekend. We went and got food and dessert. I got him some stuff he wanted for his kitchen. He says my stuff won't be here until the 14th. On Tuesday my day is full until 8:30 pm and we might do a small skype date or something. Hopefully, its our last v-day apart.

I sent him a small package with some stuff which he got yesterday. He has organised to send me something and its supposed to be arriving today but it hasn't come yet. Hopefully we'll get to have a skype date that night.

I was excited as this is my first valentines ever sharing it with anyone. Then my SO asked me on the 9th if the day before was valentines day. Which clearly means he has no intentions of doing or saying anything. So...there goes my hope.

Love valentines, even though haven't gotten to celebrate it in person, and 3 years ago didn't have anyone to celebrate it with has always been a fav holiday of mine. This year were going to spend it together online, it falls on a tuesday, our day So were just going to spend it together, hoping i see him on cam again! I did make him a little v-day gift, and then he said something about not have sent something, so hmmm lol i wonder if he wrote me a letter. But yes im looking forward to v-day with him!

I am going to see him two days after v-day for 4 days (and celebrating 21 months together!!!). Not planning on anything special though since we are both broke. I got him one of those "what i love about you" books and am going to fill it out but that is it. I told him not to get me anything and he better listen haha.

"Every day is love day" is a very good point... although Valentine's is like the perfect excuse to be romantic for those who do not dare being so every day, I must say love needs no excuses to be expressed everyday.

I get what you mean with wanting your love to be with you on that date... we'd all like to I guess. I'd love to have Ulysses here...just a walk with him would be the perfect present :')

Every day is a love day, but I see Valentine's Day as I see Christmas or birthdays: another reason to spoil your SO. :P Doesn't mean I don't see something in a shop, think of him, buy it, and send it out or that I don't express my love on a regular basis. It's simply another excuse and another "holiday," corporate or not, to celebrate. I don't see why the general distaste of Valentine's Day has to be about how every day should be Valentine's Day, essentially. xD Seeing as I treat V-day like a birthday or Christmas, I suppose I see it as another excuse to do a little something extra special, even if I also have little "extra special" surprises other random days of the year as well. :P

I don't really have plans though. My boyfriend will be getting his gift late, unfortunately, but I'll be sending him some silly candies and making my own silly Valentine's Day card. I converted him into taking (or feigning, ha!, not sure which) an interest in the holiday and so I take particular joy in this being the first we get to spend together as an official couple.

Just another day for me!

My children are off school for half term so I'll be playing with them and watching some horrible movies and TV shows that they love. Will be thinking of my Nephew as it's his birthday (6 already! where has the time gone?) and i won't get to see him.
I'll BBM my SO as usual while he's at work and he'll call me on his lunchbreak like he always does. My handsome Prince Charming doesn't need one day a year to make me feel like a Princess, he does it everyday.
