This entire thread...no words.
Op: Have you discussed going out there with her now that youre no longer a couple? (This would have been my forst question if my SO broke up with me before a trip. "So what now?") Get in contact with her and find out if still visiting as a friend is acceptable. If it is, my advice would be to back off for the month. If she wants you there, go. Plan with her. But don't plan romance. I personally feel your willingness to go on the trip as a friend will say more than going with the "I WILL WIN YOU BACK" mentality. (Even if thats whats in your heart). The best way to win someone (in any kind of relationship) is to respect them. If you go about things cautiously and respectfully, maybe you will end up in a conversation when youre out there. Maybe you wont, but the odds are better than if you run to her doorstep with roses standing in the rain. If you cant manage to go on the trip as her friend, don't go. Give yourself time to heal and then consider a friendly visit. Long story short - follow her lead and respect her needs.
