What NOT to do in a marriage/relationship

I thought this was a good article.

Actually let me correct myself- it's not an article, it's an opinion piece

    edit again--

Softy made a good point. What would you add to the list? I think I would add: find a way to laugh every day. Laughter and smiling is so important.

I love this article... and will be trying to find a way to pass it along to my fiance. (And I'll change the "her" to "him" and do the same!)

      2016 Goal: Buy a house.
      Progress: Complete!

2017 Goal: Pay off credit card debt
      Progress: Working on it.

        All good advices for sure.

I would add ' Don't take your other half for granted'.

It's not because you have been together for a while that she/he cannot pack and leave or you never know what can happen the next day.
Every day you spend with him/her should be enjoyed to its fullest.

Many of these are things I came to realize on my own recently... I think my ex-husband and I were guilty of almost every item on the list!
          First met online: June, 2010
First met in person: August, 2011 (See the story of our first visit)
Second visit: December, 2011 (Christmas and New Years together!)
          Third visit together: August, 2012
Fourth visit: December 2012 (Christmas and New Years together!)
Fifth visit: July 2013 (2 weeks here in Canada)
Sixth visit: December 2013 (Christmas and New Years together again and I finally met his mother!)
Next visit: Unknown... for now but coming up ASAP

Very good article...I think the only thing I have to add to that is "don't ever use what your SO told you about themselves in confidence in a fight against them" sure way to destroy any intimacy and sharing..

I really did enjoy reading that list

I think I would add to a "do", always encourage them to do what they love and reassure them that they can and are doing an amazing job.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I'm not too far off from doing all of that, some of it we obviously can't do because, you know, LDR :P But it's good to see someone who gives something genuine as far as advice. It's not filled with an analysis or anything, it's a man saying what he would done differently, which we all think about at some point
