    Our First Meeting

I got back really early this morning from 3 perfect weeks with my SO in Holland. This was the first time we'd been together after having met 7 years ago, and he is so worth the wait =)

When i got off the plane i was in a bit of a daze, not sure if it was really happening, walked through arrivals and got my bag, then when i walked out the door i didn't notice him at first, then spotted him with his dad. The first thing he did was put his arms around me. In the car on the way to his house we were both really shy but once we got to his house that soon disappeared as we got used to being around each other. I kissed him for the first time that evening.

I had a great time whilst i was there. We did all sorts of stuff. The city where he lives is absolutely beautiful, full of brick roads and trees and rivers. Every Thursday they have a market on the streets and there's a parade of people dressed up in old-fashioned clothes riding in horse carts. I got to meet my SOs family who are all really nice, and his best friend who is really funny and silly, and quite possibly the tallest guy i've ever met. I went to Amsterdam and to a themepark and bowling with his family and to the beach but the best thing entirely was just being with him.

Hopefully he will be able to visit me at Christmas, which isn't too long away. I absolutely hated saying goodbye. I was trying so hard not to cry in the airport. He was trying not to as well, so he kept making us laugh to keep the tears at bay but when I'd walked through the gate and left him behind the tears kept welling up and it was hard to keep them back. As soon as i got back home i was on msn cause we needed to see each other. He'd been crying after i'd gone. He said he was alright after they left the airport, it was just when he got into bed that it hit him that i'd really gone and then the tears came.

I miss him incredibly much and can't wait till Christmas when he might be able to visit me.

7 years?! Darling, you are a SAINT. I'm going nuts at 6 months, I couldn't imagine 6 1/2 more years. I'm glad you had a good time and that it was worth the wait, and the possibility you'll see each other again soon! You're truly a trooper.

I'm happy that it went so well =)
7 years? Dayum that is quite a bit of time but then again true love is worth waiting for.
I hope his visit to you is going to be just as nice as your visit to him. Now it's your turn to show him the ropes.

Yay for meeting him for the first time and having a great time!
"Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue,
a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them
which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky."
                - Rainer Maria Rilke

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,
regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."

@xsomanymilesx We had to wait so long cause of school and our age. We met when we were really young so we couldn't really go off travelling on our own to meet someone in a foreign country.

@William We went to Walibi world. We got there early before there was many people there so we went on all the rollercoasters first whilst the queues were short XD

Thanks for all the great replies everyone =) I took many pictures, i shall post them soon, when i've finished unpacking and got my camera sorted.
