    I'm glad this has been resolved for now! I'm happy for you

    Definitely make sure that he keeps asserting himself and that you support him on that. His parents need to understand that he's an adult now and can make his own decisions, now and in the future, and that their interruptions are not welcome. My SO has issues asserting himself too, but as much as it can cost me some nerves, I do what I can to support and encourage him.

      Miasmata: Thank you! Just getting the message from him even though it was only like a day and a half that we really weren't in much contact - it was like a breath of fresh air.

      Oh, I'll make sure that he knows that I'm there to support him. It can be nerve wracking at times, but it's something that needs to be done.
