Kal and I have been together for 2 years and 5 months to the day and we have been long distance for 2 years and 1 month. It's really hard and some days are worse than others. It especially sucks when all your friends are getting married and moving forward and you just feel like your at a standstill. Just keep looking forward and try not to get too discouraged! It will all be worth it when you can finally be together!

We met in September of 2008, started dating October 2009, became LD in August of this year. Our one year anniversary is this month. : ) So that makes it about three months that we've been LD.
As for the future... the soonest we could live close again would be when I start college, two years from now. It all depends though. He starts college next year, and if we both get into and decide to attend the same college, then problem solved. But if not, then we're looking at 6+ years from now. (Which I just thought out for the first time... wow. Little overwhelming.)
So far if I feel down I'll channel all my energy into school/family/friends/work/etc. Basically keep busy to distract myself. Or I'll write it down in the journal we mail back & forth, or blog about it. Talking about it definitely helps I think. : )
