What's the nicest thing your SO's ever said to you?

The first time I saw Ian after having my daughter....

Since we were best friends and talked everyday about everything, I must have mentioned the baby weight more than a few times, as the very first thing that popped out of his usually very reserved mouth, when he saw me at Logan was..."YOU are NOT huge!!" in the most shocked tone of voice. To which I said... "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me!"

I've said it to him several times since then... and today's

last week we were talking on msn and he told me "today i saw two girls talking together in spanish and a couple making out on a bench and i felt sad . for a few seconds i really thought about booking a flight to monterrey right away!!" awwww, but it's just crazy!, because i'm gonna see him in less than 2 months!, but it was sooo cute

I had thanked him for saying I looked pretty one day, because I'd been having the day from h*ll and felt like I looked like I'd done so. I just needed it that day.

Last one... from a recent email. This concerned a request that he made of me- he wanted me to look over a letter he had written for work before he sent it, but I told him I didn't have time right away. I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went ahead and looked at the letter anyway. This was his response:

"Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. Of course, you give me a laugh. I thought you might have a difficult time letting it go... that too is one of your imperfections that I've come to appreciate. Definitely love you in all your package..."

Mine's a bit simple in text but the meaning is more complex.

"I believe in you." I've never had anyone tell me that and it came at a time when I was just starting to struggle with the realization I had to grow up and fight for things if I wanted us to ever be together in person. When I told him the plans I'd made to start this journey, he told me that and I cried. It's not exactly THE nicest thing he's said but it's meant so much to me.

This is a text he sent me while I was asleep one night:

No one has ever ever ever said that to me before. And needless to say, it plastered a big, goofy smile on my face all day.
