I can honestly say we have spoken each and every day since 12/25/09. As I sit here and reflect on that I do feel blessed and even though I feel frustrated at times..I need to focus on the positives...

Hmm, quite often these days actually. Probably 4 times a week by either video call(although in his case his computer's too old to really do video, so its voice chat on his end) or phone. I have a prepaid calling card that costs .13 a minute, so I don't mind calling when I really need to hear his voice. Not sure how this is going to continue once I get busy with school...

The longest we went was almost 3 weeks, November 2009. I was desperate for him to call me but I didn't want to ask him to, because the last few time I asked he had lied about it to get out of talking with me. After those 3 weeks our relationship had some bad problems because I just wasn't feeling as committed to him...(big surprise, huh?)
but luckily those problems are long gone now, and we talk almost every night

I haven't talked to my boyfriend on the phone or with voice chat going on 5 weeks now. It's really hard, especially since he said he wouldn't do this again. (He did it before the first time we got back together after he moved away, for 3 weeks and then for 7 weeks.) I've asked, but.. -sigh-

I think the longest might of been a day, maybe even 2. It really does kill me when I can't talk to my SO. Nothing else makes me happier than listening to her voice, and when I'm not able to do that my days and nights go by sooo sooo slowly. But then again, when eventually you do get to talk to your SO you're so much happier because you've missed them so much, and you always end up having a brilliant conversation

The longest we've gone without communication was a week, and it was over the holidays. We both went to our parents' houses, and it didn't feel right for him to skype in front of his family when he has such little time with them anyway. It was hard not to hear his voice. We thrived on texts that week. We don't talk on the phone very often because international calls are expensive. In fact, the only time we did talk on the phone was when skype was down and I had some skype credit. Otherwise, it's strictly skype, e-mails, or texts."I'll hold you in my heart till I can hold you in my arms again."

I went an entire week without talking to him. Did you catch that? A WEEK. It was devastatingly heartbreaking to not hear his voice for that long. I completely understand...but thankfully, he DID call. He did get a bit chewed out for not having called me earlier, though :P

Without any communication at all? Even texting? We've gone maybe 2-3 days without talking, but we usually at least text once or twice in there somewhere. This last week he was at competition, we hardly talked, maybe two 15-30 minute conversations and a smattering of texts. That's probably the least amount we've communicated with each other thus far.
Edit: Okay, read the title of the thread thoroughly. Without a phone call? Probably 3-4 days at the most without even a short phone call. We usually Skype, though, and we went a week without that recently. It's tough when you're used to always seeing someone's face...Last edited by Trethsparr; January 23, 2011, 01:27 AM.
