When we were LD, Ryanair made direct flights from Tampere in Finland to Edinburgh in Scotland throughout the year. Cheap-ass flights they are, by the way So if I went there, I had to travel twoish hours from where I live to the Tampere airport by car, then the flight would take a bit less than three hours, and he'd meet me in the Edinburgh airport and we'd take the train down to Newcastle where he lived, which also takes around two hours.
So to sum up, it took about 7 hours Not that long! We're going to England in a few days and because idiot Ryanair have made flights from Finland seasonal, we'll be going Jyväskylä - Helsinki - Copenhagen - Edinburgh - Newcastle and Newcastle - London - Helsinki - Jyväskylä >_>
So to get there, we'll be travelling for about 15 hours. Oh well, it'll be worth it, at least he'll get to see his mum again
