Playstation Network lol, specifically through the game Rock Band. While looking at my gaming profile, he noticed there was another game we had in common that I had never completed..and he offered to help me finish it. We started chatting every day and playing other games together...and here we are 3 years later.

We met on okcupid in February this year and I had only joined the site in January, as before that I didn't believe in dating sites, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I wanted 2014 to be the year I would fall in love and find my soul mate, I didn't know what to expect really, I messaged some people on that site and I viewed profiles, I chatted to a couple of people but it never went anywhere. I viewed my fiance's profile and I wasn't sure at first, also I was hurt that someone I had spoke to had randomly stopped talking to me a week beforehand, but it all was a distant memory when I saw my fiance had messaged me on February 13th I saw I had a message from him.
He said something along the lines of "I have seen your profile and you have caught my eye" I can't remember the exact words, anyways we chatted on the website for a few days, then we decided to email, then a few days later we got whatsapp and we texted on there. He asked me to be his girlfriend on February 17th as we both felt a strong connection and I felt I could be myself, as in the past my habit was to try and impress rather than being myself, but right from day one I felt I could be me with him. So anyways I asked him to ask me again but in a video message and that was it for me I said yes straight away and then we agreed to change to skype to video chat, we did a few days later, then after that we skyped everyday and sending texts on whatsapp and voice recordings. We still have the same routine of skyping and whatsapp everyday.
We met for the first time in May and we spent 11 wonderful days together in England, we fell more in love with each other and still continue to everyday. I know with all my heart he is my soulmate and my true love, I know it may seem like we rushed into everything, but how I see it life is short and we knew right from the beginning that we are meant to be together, I am 25 and my fiance is 27( 28 this month) We are going to close the distance soon, as we applied for my K1 visa back in July and we are at the last steps, I am waiting for a letter from the US embassy and then I will go for my medical exam and visa interview.Last edited by vicks5721; November 12, 2014, 09:32 AM.

I love telling our story, to people in a similar situation to ours. We initially became aware of each other 8 months ago via Instagram, only exchanging brief comments on each other's pictures. It wasn't until almost four months ago, that he took the first step and contacted me properly. I'll always remember that first shy, unassuming message, but I knew I had to get to know him. We messaged a few times a week, often conversations lasting all day. I knew within about 3 weeks, he was 'the one', but was slightly hesitant to enter into a LDR with a guy who lives nearly 5.500 miles away. After much discussion, we knew we felt the same way and we made the choice to give it go. It's strange that this relationship is the healthiest one we've both had and we're happily making plans for our future together.

We met on a free dating site. I sent him a message and we started firing them back and forth until he suggested we get on skype. We started to Skype and we just haven't stopped for the past five months. It has been tough at times when we have not been able to communicate as much as we would like to, but we are growing closer each day and he's everything I have been searching for for so long.

The best question indeed ^^
I was visiting a friend in UK and together we went for a Transformers convention. At the first day when we were going for lunch a guy just got into conversation with everyone and tagged along. My first thoughts were 'He's SO my type.' Ended up bumping into each other all the time and then talking almost completely togethere. Parted ways as friends. After a week when I was back in Poland we started chatting, messaging and didn't stop till now ;D“We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness — and call it love — true love.”

I went back to Denmark to visit family and friends (I live in America and have for 14 years) and I met him through another friend. Initially we didn't like each other for silly reasons. But after a while we hung out a lot, and eventually we had this chemistry. When I left we hugged for a long time but none of us said anything. Then when I got back to the US he had messaged me and then we just talked every day. Two months later we became an official couple... weve been apart for five months now and Skype and Facebook are our best friends. Hes coming the to US for the first time this December, so Im really excited to see him for two weeks.

We met on skype. It's a very funny/sad story but I'll try to keep it short and simple. He wanted to learn English so he added random people on Skype, including me. At that time I was severely depressed because of my parents. He spoke fluent English and kept talking to me. Keep in mind that we didn't even had a web cam. We were just talking with voice only. A week later, I finally showed my face on cam and so did he. I like him because of his profile picture on Skype, I was snooping around. Haha. So in the end of a month later I tried flirting with him. His English wasn't very good at that time, so he couldn't really understand what I was saying to him. He didn't understand because he's not good with "obvious" hints. I told him the truth after and i was like "Do you want to go out with me?" Of course some people would be skeptical about it, but he tried it and look where it got him! ~ DJIt's not about the looks, it's about the personality.

I met my SO on an online game called Neverwinter, based on the Dungeons and Dragons series. We hit it off pretty well as friends, though lost contact for a few months. At a time of depression and real life turmoil, he messaged me one day and asked how I was. Several Skype calls and many chats later, we found we had feelings for one another, and things went from there.
