Wedding rings

I actually bought the engagement ring a couple months after we started dating...I was that sure that I wanted to marry her. Unfortunately, I can't put a picture up...IM/message me if you'd like to see it!

I agree with churchgrim...I'm looking to go for the wooden rings. I like to think they symbolize the strength we have needed to get through this part of our relationship just to get to that point. :-)

I don't know what sort of ring I would want, but probably a silver one as opposed to gold. We were discussing rings one day, not in the context of us getting married, but somehow the subject of birth stones came up and his sister had just gotten engaged so I think he showed my a picture of her ring too, and we got talking about how I think a ring with a peridot stone would be nice.

We've been engaged for 2 years as of a week or so ago.
We went to a few stores, but I didn't find one I like, until we went to Fred Meyers.
I love that store. He buys all my jewelry from there now.
It is gold with 7 marquis diamonds.


His is just a silver band. 5mm I believe. I bought it for him 6 months after he got mine, it was his anniversary present, along with a message in a bottle I ordered from personalizationmall.com I tied the ring onto the bottle.
& I'm not sure if this counts, but this is our 2 year anniversary and you can see both of our rings (not up close, but I like the pic)

edit: i guess i will go with a more traditional style, in white gold, he isnt a fan of complicated or fancy designs, and im not the only one who will have to wear it everyday. he agreed on white gold, and im happy,

i quite like more simple bands as well, im hoping he will give me a simple yet classy engagement ring

So in the end i listened to what my so wanted for a wedding band, a simple white gold one. and they arrived today! I am so very much pleased!!!!!



the box of the rings, it is made of wood, wich I think is a nice brazilian/amazonian touch to say where the rings came from, and where I came from for that matter. ;p

And silver. I hate gold.

But honestly, I'd love a simple silver band, exactly like the one garnet posted. I don't want or need a big diamond to show off our relationship.

i would never have gotten diamonds on my wedding band, as my so wouldnt wear diamonds.
and in brazil its traditional the couple wears matching wedding bands, and thats what i wanted. for me its a great symbol to wear the same wedding band, like you are one soul, one heart in two bodies (ain't I cheesy?)and its exactly what i got. <3 <3 <3

This is the EXACT ring I want! My whole idea of a wedding ring is an unbroken band, symbolizing an unbroken marriage. My SO wants the same, but 5mm not 3

its really similar to mine and my SO's! ours have our names engraved inside for now. but we will add the wedding date to it afterwards. loved your idea for the engraving though! ours wouldnt have space for something like that now, with the names and hearts already in them! lol so will be just the wedding date to add to it. wich hopefully will be the same day we started dating (26 of january. so maybe instead of putting the year of the marriage, if we can manage to marry on that date, we can put just "26.01"

Same style but his is a little thicker then mine. I've always wanted a simple wedding ring like that^^ and thankfully he agreed and wanted the same style- I'm not a fan of any other style wedding ring other than the traditional plain band! We decided as we'd put "31102009- Forever" on our ceremonial wine box, we'd have something else on our rings; we both got "you're my personal penguin", after the song, and we both call each other that! They're in my SO's safe right now, I haven't seen them in person yet!

I love yours though- I wish we'd had the option for the little hearts, they're so cute!
