I'm an ISFJ.. which sounds fairly accurate, Although as I was reading the personality profile I found it to be very 'extreme'.. I would say i'm a lot more mellow on most of the personality traits but they are definitely there.. just not as full on.

My SO is an INTJ.. only bits and pieces sound like him, I also found the personality profile for him to be very extreme, yes he does possess most of these qualities but the profile makes him sound like a robot that is never in touch with him emotions and is very cricital - which isn't him at all. one thing that really stuck out was "INTJs need to remember to express themselves sufficiently, so as to avoid difficulties with people misunderstandings." we have had to work through this in our relationship and he has made huge improvements in communication, I'm sure we will still have to deal with it in the future but his communication and expressing emotions is almost like a different person. I suppose some of it comes from always only thinking about his actions affecting him and its taken some time to think about us as a couple as well as individuals.

I like to take these kind of tests for fun (as well as looking at zodiac compatibility) but don't really read much into them normally. It is interesting what they say though.

I'm an INFP. I fit the type well. I tried to give my SO the test about 2 months into our relationship. He kept arguing with the questions and got too frustrated to continue. There are some unreliable tests out there because I have come out differently and when I read the descriptions of the other ones, I disagreed. I think the first time you take it is the most accurate though because if you take it over and over you start to over-analyze it.

I have been on INFP forums! Sadly, the website is no longer there.

I'm ISFJ, I can find myself in the description, great test! I'll have my SO do this when he gets home from school.

I'm ENFP and my SO is ISTJ. Seriously. Just because your personalities are different doesn't mean you're not compatible. For example: I love being alone. But if I'm alone for too long, I get depressed. (Like, no people contact alone.) I get happy by being around people. My SO gets more stressed out around a lot of people-but his relaxing time is when he's alone. So we compromise. When he wants to relax/calm down he'll read or play video games or watch TV. I'll do those things to relax too-as long as I can talk to someone about them before/during/after. (Just as an example.)

No need to stress out about it. Knowing each other's personalities is beneficial, because then you are able to understand where your SO might be coming from when they react a certain way.

I took this very test about a year ago and got INFJ (I think my SO was INTP); doing it again now I get the same result

I'm INFJ and my boyfriend is INTP. You can really see it sometimes. I'm much more emotional than he is. I've taken this test several times since I was in elementary school and it's always come up the same.

My career paths are never on-par, though. xD I'm studying chemistry but it suggests social work and counseling and things like that. I'm like, no way! I hate counseling!

I remember taking this test back in high school, when I took Psychology. I took it again a couple months back and got the same result; an INFP. My SO took it and he got either ENFJ or ESFJ, although he gets the first option more often. I think ENFJ fits him.

I don't feel like taking this test right now, but I'm usually up for it. Just had a long day. XD

I always get INFP, though. My...we'll call him my SO (might as well) took one version of the test once when I asked, and he was INTP. I'll have to see what he gets with this one, because I didn't actually like the test I linked him to very much. It didn't seem very accurate, at least on the descriptions of the different types.

I haven't even ever taken the time to think about how that affects things. I think it's cool to know more about your SO like that, though. I totally believe it can be a great tool, too.

I've taken the test a few months ago already; as well as my SO but it is one which I think may be more precise...since it takes over 200 questions to get to a result and it gives you a full graph of your personality, your multiple intelligences and a 60-page report of your personality.

I'm an INFJ and my SO is an INFP, I guess we can be similar in many aspects :P

If you are interested in taking the looong test, this is the site: https://www.mypersonality.info/

you have to make an account. Go to "mypersonality PRO" test and when you're done, click on your username to view results...unless you are interested in the long 60 page report, which you have to pay for. It's a really good site for tests of sorts, I've found it pretty accuarate in fact!

Did you pay money? It says $28.00 for the PRO version? I'm trying to do it now. :P

Hahah, I ended up just taking it and asking my SO the questions as I did them. We basically had the opposite answer for EVERY question. Hahaha, it was kind of funny how different we look at things. He's really straight forward and logical, while I'm very concerned with people's feelings and compassionate. We were talking about it later tonight because I tend to get worried if we don't like all the same things (my mind works in strange ways), and he told me that we balance each other out. If we were both like me, we'd drive ourselves insane and stress each other out, and if we were both like him, nothing would ever get done. I'm really happy that I have him actually. He rationalizes everything and it really helps me when I go into emotional-girl-mode. :P

I ended up with ISFJ but I haven't asked my SO to take it yet. It's funny that one of my top career indicators is actually what I do for a living too

I've taken variations of this test many times, and I always bounce between INTP and INFP, probably depending on my mood. I think the "F" always comes out a bit stronger than the "T" though. I don't know if my SO's ever taken it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got similar results. We tend to view the world in the same way, and have similar communication styles.
