Well... my absolute favourite was Emirates XD Did a direct flight from NY to Dubai with them once, and it was amazing! I got steak and cheesecake, haha.
But between Canada/US and Europe, I prefer Delta or Air Transat/Canadian Affair. I particularly liked my last flight with Delta, because I finally had a plane with personal screens, and the food was pretty decent too

I studied in the UK for 2 years a long time ago and I used to travel with Virgin Airlines (once with American and it was shit compared to Virgin) and when I went back to visit my SO, it was with Virgin. Also, I think that it's very thoughtful that they give you that little bag (pen for immigration paperwork, toothbrush & toothpaste and socks).sigpic

I have unfortunately learned that sometimes budget just isn't worth it. On my way to China and all of my flights within China were done with China Eastern, yes, it was dirt cheap, but it was by far the worst experience of my life. On my way to China they lost my luggage at JFK, I had to wait 5 days to get my luggage back, and they made a huge hassle about me getting them to deliver it (it was a 250 rmb taxi ride from my apartment to the airport and I was not paying that kind of money for their mistake!) I know that China Eastern is not really in the UK but I guess this post is for anyone whom it might affect in the future.
From now on, I will only fly with airlines affiliated with Star Alliance. My favorite, and the one that I will attempt to fly with from now on is United, I have never had any problem with them and the airline staff is much more friendly than any other airline I've been on.

I dislike Delta, to be honest, but the fares are cheap, so can't complain. But I've gotten what I've paid for each time.{ Our Story on LFAD }

I absolutely love Southwest. My SO and I are lucky we have that option because the airports are only 2 hours away from where each of us lives, and if we plan ahead, we can get flights for $29!
The staff is really nice and entertaining, and my luggage is always there soon after I land. Not to mention you get to check two bags for free. I've only ever gotten little packets of peanuts or pretzels to eat, but our flights to each other aren't very long at all, so it doesn't matter much.

Southwest for me too (Hi to my SO Lissy!). All the same reasons. You just can't beat a $29 flight. The main trick with that is that you have to get your tickets early. Also, if you sign up for Southwest rapid rewards, you get points for each flight you purchase, and you can trade in points later for free flights. We only wish we'd signed up for that earlier. We'd probably have a free flight by now, if we had. Either way though, it's really nice. Highly recommend Southwest to anyone who can get it.

When I lived in the US my favorite was hands down without a doubt: Southwest! - Great prices, staff, customer service,etc.
Now that I am living in Europe my favorite is Lufthansa, I simply love it and I highly recommend it... you won't be disappointed.
Oh and don't forget to join the rapid rewards southwest program (got 3 roundtrip flights "for free") and the Lufthansa Miles & More... both wonderful and free! =)

i have flown two different airlines to see my SO: Virgin Atlantic and Delta. I dislike Delta so much. The people were rude and not helpful. However, I absolutely LOVE Virgin. The food was great. The people were so nice and took time to answer any questions I had. The only nice thing I can say about Delta is that they did give me a voucher because my entertainment headset plug in thing was broken."I'll hold you in my heart till I can hold you in my arms again."

I don't know my favourite airline. I only flight once when I was a child.
However I had a bad experience with Easyjet. They didn't let me cancel the flights and change that was so much expensive as buy a new one, and I tried to do this 2 months before of fly. I don't know if all companies do the same but I hated that, I payed a trip that I never enjoyed but I never will get my money backWhy am I always trying the impossible?
