I just have a bad feeling about the whole situation - as in, this isn't a real situation. If any of you do a little bit of digging....you'll figure out what I mean.

Distance is to love as wind is to fire. It blows out the little ones and fans the big ones.

I sure do love a community in which I'm met with the maximum level of cynicism possible. I have visited Dwessie. She has not visited me. She can not visit me because of the situation. I can't force her to do things if she doesn't want to. Nonetheless we are still at a stalemate because she has been to the offices there and has been turned down on literally all accounts. But either way.

So what's the deal with her comment that she would find a job easily if she had citizenship? It's on her profile...is she a US citizen or not?Met Online : July 2013

We just think it is weird she has been turned down for trying to get her id in order. If that's actually true, there is something strange going on. Maybe she misunderstood some of the rules.Last edited by differentcountries; January 31, 2015, 06:21 PM.I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. Has she been to DMV? Has she been to SS office? Does she have school ID? Do her parents have copy of tax returns or her? It's the law in USA, if you lose them ,IRS has a copy. She needs to do this stuff herself.

As for the first three; yes, yes, no.
As for the tax returns, that's definitely something I can tell them to look into.
I'm aware of that, but nobody's been doing anything, so I've basically taking on the obligation because I can't deal with waiting.

Closing distance is huge, sounds like some time is not a bad idea at this point.Last edited by Hollandia; January 31, 2015, 07:03 PM.

Sometimes there are bugs in the system, and then you have to stand your case and investigate more. If there is something special about her id case and the case of her sister, at some point someone knows something about what can be done. I have dealt with lots of byrocracy in my life so I know you have to be patient, clever and not give up. I for instance spent a whole lot of time just trying to find out what happens to my marriage certificate after my husband changed name AND personal identification number, I was supersad because I know our marriage certificate as written is worthless. I had to talk to a lot of people in a lot of offices before some lady in the capital sent me a transtript of the computer record of our marriage (since they are not allowed to give out a new marriage ceritificate), where all the correct info was. You can't do anything for her at this point, other than to encourage her to keep trying to figure out more stuff. That might be extra hard for the both of you since you have a "mutual distaste for other people", and byrocracy people are not always that charming in the eyes of people who do like people, but such is adult life and you might just roll up your sleeves and start now.I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain
