Our daughter is going to be Maja.
We talked about baby names and realized while we both feel quite strongly about boys' names, we don't have a preference for girls' names. Both our birthdays are in May (which is spelled 'Maj' in Polish), so we decided Maja would be a could name.
And there we go. Our first daughter will be called Maja.

For a boy, I'm set on Jonathan. I like how it sounds in German, English and Polish. It's a pretty name and neither too exotic nor too common. My boyfriend's not so convinced and especially he doesn't like the h... but even though it doesn't make a differene pronounciation wise for us, it would look too weird without the h.
    So Jonathan.
My boyfriend wants his son to be -wait for it- Stanisław. Which is NEVER going to happen. Not if it's my son as well and in my lifetime. He can choose a moderately Polish name for a middle name of should we have two sons, but Stanislaw isn't going to happen, not even as a middle name.

Być tam, zawsze tam, gdzie Ty.

My SO and I already have baby names picked out.

      For our boys:
Dylan - My SO had a half brother named Dylan. He was born three months premature and died basically on his due date. We want to honor his brother. My SO also has a tattoo of a cross and his brother's name and date of birth.
Christopher Jr - He's always wanted a junior and I think it's adorable when boys are named after their father.
Mark - If we have another boy after that, we both like this name.

      For our girl:
Jacqueline Marie - The first name is the name of my favorite aunt and the middle name is my middle name.

My SO is named after St. Christopher. His mom and extended family are very religious.

I have an interesting naming story. I was born two months premature. I was way too small and wasn't breathing when I was born. A nurse quickly baptized me so if I died, I would go to heaven. My family is also very religious so this was a very nice gesture towards them. I went a month without a name, just being called Baby Girl Last Name. After a month, my parents decided to name me after that nurse who baptized me. Her name, of course, was Ellen. The middle name Marie is after my great grandmother.

      Became a couple: March 17th, 2010

Surprise engagement in Disneyworld! : March 22nd, 2013
Closed the distance: May 2nd, 2014
Became his wife and started our happily ever after!: May 17th, 2014

We have talked about baby names, and the girl name is pretty much decided.
Since he's Japanese, I speak Japanese and our plan is for our possible future children to grow up in Japan as well, all possible baby names are Japanese.
Before me married, I said that if we in the future got a girl, I request for her name to be Yui. XD
My SO was fine with that name. There's not a big story to it. Just that my favorite Japanese singer (of all time) is called Yui and I really admire her (even though she is only 2 years older than me) and I really started to like the sound of the name so I slowly fell more and more in love with the name.
If we get another girl, I think we'll call her Koharu. Just because I like that name a lot as well.

When it comes to names for a boy we haven't fully decided, yet. Though we're thinking a lot about making it into Kazuya.
Which came from when I asked him about boy names, he mentioned Kazuya and some others and I got interested in Kazuya, so that is kinda the name we're going for as things are now.

We talk about babies all the time! Although we're not ready for them, we are definitely excited to start our family eventually. We want to have 6 children in all- 4 boys and 2 girls. For now, we have a name for our first born son already- Desty Thomas ________ V (our son will be the 5th one) and we want to name our daughter Mireille which means admire in French. Since my SO is French Canadian, and I like themed names, we want to try and stick with French names. Empathizes on the try though because I'm so picky about names haha.

I also like the nake Kairi (KI-ree)also for a girl its a name from one of the characters in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. I just think its pretty. For boys I've always liked the name Michai, again no clue where i heard it, lol.

I haven't talked about names with my SO yet but I'm not sharing the name I picked out for a girl, very few people have this name and I'd like to keep it that way :P For a boy I'm still undecided I like Liam, Dakota, and Damon. I guess I'll like my SO decide on that one.

I really like the name Harper for a girl because of Harper Lee, who wrote To Kill a Mocking bird

Chris and I talk about children a lot =) Together we decided on the perfect names

For a girl we picked Anberlyn Page. Page is my middle name and my mothers and I really wanted to pass it on her =)
For a boy we picked Aiden Christopher. It's a tradition in my family to make the middle name of the first born son that of the father's.

I love that each name has a part of us in them. I think it makes them more special =)

This is somewhat tangential, but my favourite Japanese name for a boy is Aoto. I had a very young 4 year old student with this name, and he was a major brat at first. One day he kept stealing people's cushions and I kicked him out of the class. I think it shocked him to death, because after that he became "Aoto, gentleman". He opened doors for girls. He offered up his cushion if girls came in late. He offered stuff from his bento box to all the ladies. Never got him to like English or stop daydreaming for more than 5 minutes, but he was awesome, and if I could get away with naming my own child Aoto, I would. Just a suggestion....

I had a Yui in one of my classes and she was sweet, smart, and scarily mature. It's such a lovely, simple name.

I already know I want kids whether they be with my SO or not, I've been crazy about baby names and meanings since forever. It stems a bit from when I used to write short stories. My name is Ayanna (uh-yahn-nuh) not (i-onna) or anything close to that. I just don't like that pronunciation. My parents liked it because it was pretty and it means beautiful flower. Which I think describes me and my personality. As for my SO I have no clue why his name is what it is, but this will make me ask him. As for kids of my own. Boys would be named Kyle and Grayson Conrad. Girls would be Kylei (ky-lay not Ky-lee) or Anniyah. I just like those names because they sound nice. Not any other particular reason

my SO and I have talked about names we like and have picked out a few others though; I have always wanted to call a little girl Alyssa Aly for short. don't ask me why i love that name :P I just have since I first got curious about what I might call my future children.. thankfully my SO loves the name too!

seeing as we had a girls name picked we thought we should at least have one boys name that we both like (even though kids won't be til well into the future lol) Oliver is our number 1 choice for a boys name and Ollie for short is just adorable.

While we were discussing names the name Charlotte came up as well, and Charlie (or anyway you want to spell it) for short is a cute alternative to the formalness of Charlotte. I'm a big fan of choosing names that have good 'nicknames' or shortened verisons of the name (as you can tell) I really like having a 'cute' nickname and my SO ONLY calls me by my nickname (Jazi) and I'd like my kids to be able to have nice/cute shortened names too if they choose to use it.

as for my name; I don't think there was any particular reasoning behind my name other than the fact that my mum really liked it. She was tossing up between Jade and Jasmin. and I'm glad she picked Jasmin! yes, it is spelt WITHOUT an 'E' and I think she just preferred the spelling, which i do too. Most people spell my name incorrectly but once people get to know me i've had a lot say that they prefer the spelling without an 'E'. Oh, and a fun fact, my initials are 'JAS' and it wasn't on purpose. cool hey?
I love this and the fact that your initials wound up spelling out JAS. Dunno if the show "Good Luck Charlie" comes on in Aussie land, but the baby on there has the name Charlotte and they call her Charlie for short. I love it. I also like Jasmin spelled without an 'E' because it's so simple and to the point almost. It doesn't really need an 'E' to be honest. Maybe because I have a thing for even numbers or something I dunno

I haven't seen the show but I have heard of it, maybe I should watch it sometime.

thanks for the compliments on my name too. Without the 'E' it just looks more 'clean' or something.. but i'm probably bias . I also prefer even numbers over odd ones.

No idea for kids, since we're just teenagers (Although my SO used to joke about naming our kid "Paul" after Paul Mcartney...)
As for the meaning behind our names... I don't know any about my SO's... And I technically don't have any meaning behind my names, except my mom WAS going to name me Georgianna (After my grandma Georgie). I ended up making Gorgiana my honorary middle name, since I love my gradnma

I have never really considered boy names, but if I had a girl, I would love her to be named Kelsey Marie mysurname-hissurname. It's a name I've carried with me since I was around 8 or 9 when I determined I'd have twin girls some day. :P The other was to be named Kiley, but I can't remember the middle name for that one and I fell out of love with the name as I got older. I love the name Piper, too, for a girl.

I'm not sure my first name has an interesting story, other than that my mother thought she came up with it. Then when I was younger, she got into an elevator with me and heard a mother shout "[my name here]!" and a 12 or so year old girl came running up. Disappointed her severely (still have only met one person with my sister's name though). :P The spelling is French-inspired, however. My middle name is a combination of my mother's first name, my grandmother's middle name, and my great grandmother's surname.
