Our daughter is going to be Maja.
We talked about baby names and realized while we both feel quite strongly about boys' names, we don't have a preference for girls' names. Both our birthdays are in May (which is spelled 'Maj' in Polish), so we decided Maja would be a could name.
And there we go. Our first daughter will be called Maja.
For a boy, I'm set on Jonathan. I like how it sounds in German, English and Polish. It's a pretty name and neither too exotic nor too common. My boyfriend's not so convinced and especially he doesn't like the h... but even though it doesn't make a differene pronounciation wise for us, it would look too weird without the h.
So Jonathan.
My boyfriend wants his son to be -wait for it- Stanisław. Which is NEVER going to happen. Not if it's my son as well and in my lifetime. He can choose a moderately Polish name for a middle name of should we have two sons, but Stanislaw isn't going to happen, not even as a middle name.
