Right now there's just a little over 500 miles, and no time difference. Soon, thou, I'll be in California, and we'll have a 2 hour difference. We've both been moaning about it, but after seeing what you guys are going through...I think I'll count my blessings. :-)

I'm in Atlanta, GA, and he's in Birmingham, AL. It's only about 200 miles. There's only a one hour time difference. Most of the time we don't even notice it. We are both graduate students, so we're always doing stuff, but usually unscheduled stuff. So clocks become unimportant. I'm one hour ahead, though, which kinda sucks because he's usually up later than me anyway and it kind of exacerbates that. Sometimes I go to bed when he's eating dinner.... Strange since we're so close. The only time I think of the time is when I'm traveling to see him (2 clock hours there, four clock hours back, three hours driving time) or when we're talking about something on tv we want to watch.
We have done a few different distances though. We were about 1500 miles for a while, and two hours different. Another time (initially), we were only 60 miles apart, and in the same time zone. And actually in a previous relationship I was over 1000 miles away from my now ex SO, but it was the same time zone! Central time zone in the US is pretty huge...Met online: Nov 2010 - Met in person: Nov 20, 2010

we are 2000 miles apart...and i am 2 hours ahead of her...which makes it a little tough sometimes...cuz when it is only 10pm for her...it is midnight for me...and i keep myself up for texting or talking on the phone...but it is soooo worth it...i can always catch up on sleep...but i can't see myself missing out on conversations with her...they are more than worth the lost sleep

We live about 4000 miles away from each other, and there's a 6 hour time difference. It sucks, but it also kind of works out because I'm a huge night owl and he's an early morning riser, so we have that overlap of a few hours in the morning where we see each other. :P I talk to him multiple times a day anyway, but what I wouldn't give for that 24/7 interaction. *dreams*"I love thee to the depth, and breadth, and height my soul can reach..." ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Where as when were five hours difference it's 9.45pm and that does make a big difference.....

My SO lives in Sweden while I live on the East Coast in the US (approximately 4,300 miles/6,920km apart), which puts me 6 hours (usually) behind him, but, as of now, it's a 5 hour difference until this Sunday. Thankfully, it will be back to normal then. Surprisingly, I really like our time difference. It allows me to talk to him before he goes to bed (he loves that), and, on days he has to work, he gets up around 1 a.m. (right now, 2 a.m.) my time. I'm usually still up, so I talk to him then too. We both love it. <3

This two weeks was messed up with this. First we were 6 hours apart, then he had DST so, 5. Then I went to Ireland first and we were 1 hour apart, then he came to Ireland and no time apart and now we are 6 hours apart again, because I had DST.
I hate the time difference.
