Welcome everyone For those with much younger guys I salute you. It brings it's own measure of issues and worries. There is a 17 year gap between me and my guy but as they say, age is just a number unless you're a cheese

It's so nice to be able to relate to most of the things I am reading now.

I don't mean to disrespect anyone but, things are so much harder after 30, if only kids new that...lol.

Plus, my SO and I had to drop out the site where we met, it was an age gap site, and we cheated (there's really no such thing between us)

P.S. Sometimes I read posts by very young people, and I find myself thinking that most of them have no idea of what being in a relationship really is, to start with. You know? Like if their trials and tribulations were meaningless... Then I feel guilty...Has anyone here ever felt like that???

I just discovered LFAD today and am so happy I did!

I'm 46 (47 in January) and my SO is 40. We've been friends for 9 years (we used to live in the same city) but only became lovers about a month ago. Looking forward to seeing how you all do the long distance relationship thing as this is my first time. I'm hoping we don't have to go longer than a year living in separate cities.

i'm nearly 25 and yes i sometimes feel the same when reading college-related topics. there is a 15yr difference between me and my SO. its going to be fun next year as i'll be celebrating my 25th bday- yay- whereas my OH will be denying his 40th bday..... not a chance i'm planning a massive party to put it firnmly in his face!! (he keeps saying he is a youthful 24 as hes a DJ). LOL

main reason we're in a LDR is due to my career just starting out, i have to go where the jobs are. hello to all ladies witha older chap; do you ever find it exasperating sometimes you want to DO SOMETHING and they are happy to sit on the sofa watching youtube etc??

Glad to have found this thread! I am definitely older than 30 yet find myself in a LDR with my first love
and who I agreed to marry some years ago. I too will be looking in the 30+ threads more often than not.

I'm 37 and my partner is over 30 as well. Glad to have found a place where 30+ have gathered.

I agree that our issues are very different than younger LDRs. We have homes, jobs, lots of big things regarding moves.

I will be 30 in June (bye bye 20's) and my SO is 28 (damn him, he will always be 2 years younger! lol!)
