We were together for a year and a bit back in 2006/07, then broke up. We've been back together since November 2011.

2. How far apart are you?
533 miles, a lot less than it used to be!

We both are.

He's taking Photography and I'm taking Early Childhood Education.

5. When are you (or your SO or both) expected to graduate?
I will be finished school this December. He still has at least 2 years left.

6. Tell us a little about you!
I love animals, especially my rats. I want to write/illustrate children's books. I majored in Graphic Design before this and graduated in 2008.
Thunderstorms make me happy and I really like stripey things.

We're also High School Sweethearts. We started dating 1/26/2010, so we've been together 2 years and 7 months.

2. How far apart are you?
We are only about 100 miles apart, but due to our busy school and work schedules, we are only able to visit on another once a month.

We are both in college. He's just finishing up his Technical Degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture, however, he is thinking of switching careers to natural resources so, maybe he will be going to my university in the near future. (Fingers crossed!) I am at a university pursuing a degree in wildlife ecology. I love the outdoors and animals, so its the perfect fit.

5. When are you (or your SO or both) expected to graduate?
He will be graduating Spring of 2013 and I will be in (hopefully) Spring of 2015.

6. Tell us a little about you!
I am happiest when I'm outdoors. I'm a second degree black belt in karate. I love hanging out with my friends, reading, owls, and playing tennis.

We met last summer, started talking in December in 2011 and made it official in April of this year.

About 500 miles.

We are both in school still. I am working full time for Virginia Tech while I finish up my degree at Liberty University Online, and he attends school for his masters at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

I have been studying criminal justice and early childhood and he is studying political science.

I will be done next summer, and he should be finished about a year after.

I am studying Liberal Arts (lame, I know). I am just using it to finish the prerequisite classes I need for the ultrasound program I am going to be applying to. My SO is a Multidisciplinary Studies major, with concentrations in Computer Science and Applied Networking System Administration.

I am graduating in May 2013, so soon! My SO is expected to graduate in May 2014 if all goes to plan.

6. Tell us a little about you!

Hmm...I am 20 years old. I was a competitive runner for 5 years in middle school and high school; I can no longer run because my knees and ankles are shot from all of the running those 5 years. I LOVE biology and I have dissected about 7 or 8 different things. My lifelong goal, which is unattainable is to dissect a human cadaver. My SO and I have known each other for 13 years. We grew up two blocks away from each other and then he went away to college. We closed the distance for 6 months this year due to some unfortunate circumstances. It was so great to spend time with him here, but I am glad that he was able to go back to Rochester and continue his degree. We have discussed our future and we see ourselves getting married to each other in a few years!

He really doesn't know yet. He is getting an associates degree in business though. I am thinking about doing either accounting or computer science. I am leaning more towards accounting. Even though my computer programming class is fun I think being an accountant would make a better career.

I just got accepted into nursing school and I am about to go into my 4th week! I am LOVING every moment of it. The more we get into the material, the more I am falling in love and am realizing how truly passionate I am about this career! You always dream and hope you'll love it as you take general education classes that you HAVE to take, but it becomes a reality once you are in there and I am thrilled. I've already been studying my BUTT off, but everyone wants a nurse that can say they worked extremely hard to make excellent grades in nursing school! lol
I am currently doing my clinical work at the VA hospital in my town (this is the Veterans hospital). My father was a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and passed away with lung cancer, but I know he'd be proud to know I am helping serving those who have served for us. I am not big on war or anything, but it is incredibly sad how the U.S. will gladly take as many young men as they can who want to go out and fight in the wars and then once they come back, either injured or relieved of duty, they don't help them. Many of the men (and a few women) I care for are homeless or borderline bankrupt. They had big dreams of going out and being a hero when they were young men (many refer to this as "being young, with big dreams, and stupid"), not fully realizing the harm that could (and has) been done to them physically, mentally, and emotionally. These are the things that drive my passion to help them. I had one sweet man tell me: "Sweetheart, you are a special type of soldier for what you are doing in this hospital for your fellow man. You are something wonderful, doing amazing things."
