Also the toilets are directly from the OP's article. Threads drift to make different POA's. It is part of the fun of posting.

Follow the line of thought and read the entire posts. It is like comparing apples to oranges. The whole thing is about whether seat belts should be mandatory as they are in cars in most places. How on Earth is that not revelant???

Planes when taking off and landing go at a higher speed than a car or train does. Also when taking off and landing in a plane it tilts so I'd like to know how on earth the people who were standing would stand up without falling over? I think this is a crazy idea. A few weeks ago there was a documentary aired here in England that was about a plane crashing. It was a controlled crash and you got to choose where you would like to be seated on the plane, then later on they would tell you if you survived or not. Anyway they did say that wearing seatbelts does save lives...

paying for toilets won't lower taxes. . .
Let is just say that the Porta a potties are charging .65 cents a piece and they are used about 200-250 times a day. That would be 126.00-237.00 dollars a day per potty. Now multiply that times 365 days and you get..............45,990-86,505 dollars a year per potty....... still laughing???
I would not turn it down. You take income where you can. Waste disposal is big business, why should this be any different.
And before you say this is OT. It is directly related to the OP article on whether or not it is acceptable for him to charge for use of toilets on the planes.

I did also agree that buses and trains and taxis too, btw, should all require them.Last edited by Hollandia; November 9, 2012, 04:33 PM.

That's how this got off topic.
This is and always has been very much on topic.

Okay, just wanted to say: cars may have more accidents, but I'd rather die on ground rather than 1000 feet from the freakin' air. No way jose. With that said, seat-belts are supposed to keep your head from being impacted and crushed around from so much trauma in an accident, no matter which vehicle you're in. Seat belts can save lives. I cannot count how many times I've heard of fatalities where they involved people not being in a seat belt, so I cannot understand why this is something of a debate for planes. I simply can't.Last edited by ST25; November 9, 2012, 04:46 PM.
